This is it.

I have felt strongly over the past month (and especially week) that I am supposed to give up this blog, so I am. I have enjoyed this creative outlet over the past year and a half, and I am grateful for the growing and supportive readership that I've had here. Thank you for following along. I'm so glad that so many of you out there have felt inspired by A Newfound Treasure. If you wish to continue following my simple little life, you may follow my instagrams: @annaweaver

So long, friends!

Navy Nursery on Design*Sponge

Avery's room is done.
Whew… that took me long enough.
I'm honored it was published on Design*Sponge
Go take a look at the before and after feature!

New York

I am so in love with New York City. It is really one of my favorite places ever! And being there at Christmastime was a dream come true. Here is a little insta-recap of some of my favorite things from my birthday getaway:

We took at cab into Manhattan once we arrived and saw those big city lights.

We ate at The Meatball Shop and followed up dinner with cocktails at Mother's Ruin. Love that place!

We stayed on Bedford in the West Village... the same street that the apartment building from Friends is on.

Our morning ritual involved a quick stop at Prodigy Coffee

AND... the best bagels I've ever had at Bagels on the Square.

Stopped through Grand Central Terminal with my love.

I tried on crazy things... like Valentino. This number here made me feel like a rockstar.

Macy's sure does know how to inspire.

I am one happy girl in The Big Apple. Someone pinch me.

This portobello arugula goodness from  may have been my favorite thing.

We were on the 4th row of Thursday night's show with Bill Murray.

Some tiramisu something from Rocco's...

I love him, and I love this city!

Oh the bagels...

I stumbled upon DASH and had to go try something on. This fur coat was ridiculous and all kinds of awesome.

We mastered the subway system by day 2. The complexity of it all baffles me... geniuses.

We celebrated my birthday dinner at La Bella Vita Ristorante in Little Italy.

Stumptown Coffee was the jam.

Rockefeller Center is one magical place!

We took an early ride to Brooklyn and walked the Brooklyn Bridge.  It was cold and foggy but well worth the trek.

We stayed with 2 girls that I found through airbnb.com. We actually had mutual friends, so it wasn't as sketchy as it sounds. One of my weekend roomies works for Shoshanna... so fun. I dragged my husband to this Lucky shopping event in Soho where my girl Samantha was.

We barely made our flight. Sad to say goodbye to New York & very eager to go back in 2013!
Hope you enjoyed that little glimpse of the trip. There was tons more that we did, but how could I ever cover it all?!

do nothing

Considering I spent 90% of my time in NYC on my feet, walking... I need a day to recover. I am so out of shape. It's not even funny. Thankfully, my husband rubbed my feet every evening after much begging on my part. I married a gem, I tell you... who also firmly believes in birthday months. I've got a good 3 weeks left of milking it for all it's worth.

Our trip to New York was great! I can't wait to share some highlights from my travels with you this week. But for now, I'll put my feet up on the couch. Maybe catch up on some laundry later. Maybe not.

December 8th, baby.

Woo to the hoo. This is my day!

Next Up: With a C.H.

Today, we are seeing what's next for Christin of With a C.H. This girl cracks me up. Seriously, she is so funny. Christin is one talented and beautiful lady with a transparency that keeps her blog real and amazing. A daily read, no doubt. See for yourself...

birthday wishing

It's my birthday week, and I can't help but dream up a little wish list of things I'd love to call mine. Get one of each for yourself and make me jealous!

I can't complain. I'll be in New York City come Wednesday, so needless to say, I'll be doing my fair share of shopping.

I'd rather pick out my gifts myself... I'm so dang picky. Anyone with me?
