art crush
Caroline Wright is the artist behind my most favorite recent art find. Her technique is so original, and that's why I think I love it so much. I've been oooo-ing and aaaah-ing at her portfolio all morning. So go take a gander at the awesomeness of this new favorite of mine -- she's sure to make your "favorite list" too.
And isn't Caroline adorable? I know.

Tuesday at TJ's
I went to a local T.J.Maxx yesterday and found some great new items on the shelves. My favorite finds were two sitting greyhound statues. They can be pricey, but these were going for $29.99!

a creative day | guest post
Today, I have the honor of post swapping with one of my dearest friends, Eileen. She's an architecture graduate that is working for an interior designer, and she's amazing. If you haven't discovered A Creative Day then you must go check it out... it's full of inspiration to get your creativity in full swing. Eileen, take it away!
Hey there lovelies! I'm Eileen, and I'm so excited to be guest posting at A Newfound Treasure today. I love EVERYTHING that Anna does, and she happens to be one of my best friends as well as a blog friend. Fall is right around the corner, which means long walks in the crisp air, fresh apple cider, cuddling around the fire, and the return of Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte. Yum. It also means its time for some fun etsy favs in vibrant colors and warm textures to spice up your fall. Enjoy!

favorite fall polish + a winner
You're welcome.
You can thank me later for finding your new favorite Fall polish color. It is part of OPI's Touring America collection for Fall 2011, and it is fabulous. It's definitely a staple from here on out! My all time favorite is a classic from 2000. It's this creamy grey-brown that is currently on my toes:
And... down to business. Congrats to Christina on winning my "Rise and Shine" print in my latest giveaway. Check back for another giveaway in the near future!

Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party
We celebrated Hudson's 3rd birthday with a small party at a local park this morning. Since Hudson's favorite book these days is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, I found this precious theme to be more than fitting. (I mean, he can quote the entire book verbatim!)
Here are the invitations that I made:
If you have never read the book then our menu will make no sense to you. "On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone, one pickle, on slice of cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon." Here are all of the little details...
Monday through Friday...
My most favorite keepsake of the day is the guest book {The Very Hungry Caterpillar} that everyone signed a sweet message to Hudson in. We will cherish it forever.
Blowing out his 3 candles...
Hudson loves everything Toy Story, and believe me, he got it all. Woody is his new best friend.
This group shot of the kids is hilarious!

That's one happy little birthday boy!

Also, Hudson made a beautiful butterfly on a canvas out of his hand prints that we placed on the gift table. It was precious.
Thankfully, the rain held out, and we were able to enjoy the unusually cool weather that we've been experiencing. The party was a success! YAY!

The Allen + Roth line at Lowe's is nothing new. I just really like some of their pieces and found them blog worthy.
