bird & branch

I've been busy adding some new vintage finds to my shop this evening -- just a few brass beauties.

When I found this little guy, I was immediately reminded of my friend Jessamie over at Bird & Branch Redesign. She's awesome and super sweet. You should go show her some love... and then take advantage of the extra hour of sleep that we get tonight. Gotta love "falling back!"

TGIF

via

Hopefully you didn't just get that annoying Friday song stuck in your head. Crap! Now, it's stuck in mine.

Anyway, I added a few new treasures in my Etsy shop, so go take a gander. You just might find something that you can't live without.

One last thing... I came across another great shop on Etsy last night while I was listing some of my items. It's called xsilk. Go check out some of their pretties. Makes me wonder if I could make something like theirs. What do you all think? I know you'll try it with me, Eileen. :)

Have a great weekend!

passionate about pink

FACT: 1 out of 8 women is diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

Pinned Image

My grandmother is a 10-year breast cancer survivor, so the cause is very near and dear to my heart. Anyone that really knows me knows that I have "pink ribbon" everything! Seriously, I even have pink ribbon Chapstick.

Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I found it fitting to do a roundup of my favorite Etsy items to inspire you to think pink.

a creative day | guest post

Today, I have the honor of post swapping with one of my dearest friends, Eileen. She's an architecture graduate that is working for an interior designer, and she's amazing. If you haven't discovered A Creative Day then you must go check it out... it's full of inspiration to get your creativity in full swing. Eileen, take it away!

Hey there lovelies! I'm Eileen, and I'm so excited to be guest posting at A Newfound Treasure today. I love EVERYTHING that Anna does, and she happens to be one of my best friends as well as a blog friend. Fall is right around the corner, which means long walks in the crisp air, fresh apple cider, cuddling around the fire, and the return of Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte. Yum. It also means its time for some fun etsy favs in vibrant colors and warm textures to spice up your fall. Enjoy!

Be sure to go check out my post on Eileen's blog! You'll find some of the same things in my roundup -- very unintentional, but it goes to show how similar we are.

My friend Eileen is even keeping her eye open for me and texted me a picture of these at our local TJ's the other day. They are WAY greater in person with intricate stitching and beadwork.

I'm not sold on any of them, but I'm going to have to make a decision/settle on one soon. Ughhhh...
