I'd like to have a label for each herb. Here are some ideas:
No green thumb here! So, naturally I'm a little nervous about my herb garden making it past week 1. Any pointers, pass 'em on this way.

herbs
Planting an herb garden has been on my to-do list for a couple of years now, and my husband surprised me with this beautiful arrangement in the backyard a couple days ago for our anniversary. It was the perfect surprise. Because we rent our home, Brett found the most unique old wooden boat-looking container to use as a planter. It had a previous life in Asia and is one of a kind! This planter enables my garden to come with us wherever we move in the future. I could not be happier!

whatever you do, keep mint out of your container! I thought I could keep it from spreading by planting it inside its own pot, sunk beneath the soil of the big container, but every time a branch touches down, it begins to grow roots. my little mint plant took over my container within a month!
good luck! we have one and it's flourishing. mint and basil grow like weeds. next year, try planting in the beginning of the summer/and of spring and they will be super abundant!
